Dina Meyer is an New York native who was brought up within Forest Hills Queens. She relocated from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island just when she was finishing her high school junior year. Her brothers include Gregory the elder brother of her as well as Evan. It was her first position in the field. It was her first job from the age of 9 to 16. She began her training in acting in The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied the acting skills of Sanford Meisner along alongside Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors to receive this kind of training. Her first performance came from Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating in Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of this film, which helped establish her as an athletic as well as an actress. As well as Matt LeBlanc's agency for talent the agent of hers was involved in a range of roles that recurred on Friends.
